The trek and cultural tour with Raven was outstanding. I have traveled extensively in Nepal, Africa,  China and South America and my recent first time trip to Bhutan was unquestionably the best. The trekking crew for the Druk Path trek was outstanding and prepared some of the best trek food I have eaten. Our guide was warm attentive and made the experience fun. I did a lot of research prior to the trip as I wanted to use a local tour company and found Raven as part of that search process. Of all the companies I investigated, Raven was the most responsive and most willing to accommodate out needs. I have nothing but high praise for the experience. We were extremely happy with our visit to Bhutan and with Raven Tours and Treks. We've talked about Bhutan quite often since we returned, and think it was one of our favorite trips anywhere. We really enjoyed everyone we met. I think, at least for me, the highlights were the Tsechu in Paro, the National Museum, Tiger's Nest, Cheri Monastery, and both the Wandue and Punakha Dzongs. Utterly fantastic, all of them. We will be happy to recommend Raven to anyone we know who wishes to visit Bhutan.

From the airport pick-up to departure, I was spoiled by the most courteous, friendly, and attentive service imaginable.
For example, Deepak, our guide and driver spent almost one whole day, without charge, solving my India visa problem which I had created and was not of any real concern to them.
Throughout the trip, including on our ambitious trek, we enjoyed comfortable hotels and wholesome, tasty foods. Bhutan is a "must go to" country and Raven Tours and Treks is the best choice to maximize your adventure.

 My friend and I spent a week in this little piece of paradise called Bhutan a while ago. The trip was unforgettable, and mostly thanks to "Raven Tours and Treks". Yes, the mountains, the fabulous Paro Festival, the delicious food and beautiful temples and monasteries played a big part. But "Raven Tours and Treks" led by Deepak and our fantastic guide Kinley and driver Kinley made sure our trip was magnificent. Kinley our guide is perfect for the job because of his great personality and knowledge of pretty much everything, and his spirituality enriched our temple visits. Neither did we ever have to worry while being in our capable driver's car. The highlight of the trip was on our last night, which was also the night before my birthday. Raven Tours had organized a party including a bonfire, champagne and cake and we sang and danced under a starlit sky. I'll be sure never to forget that birthday!!
I sincerely recommend "Raven Tours and Treks" while travelling in Bhutan .

Hi There I have just returned from Bhutan - I put together a private trekking group and used a local company Ravens Tours and Treks... they were amazing ... they allayed my fears about going there and were exceptionally customer focussed from the moment we arrived and received the welcome scarf to arranging impromptu visits to nomadic yak herder tents to having lunch in a farmers house on a wet day to giving me a pony for the impossible parts of the trek. We even had the pony owner prepare a stone bath for us at the back of his house... all impromptu and unexpected. They were so customer focused, very professional and treated us like honoured guests not just tourists. Many thanks Joan

 We were very excited to visit the wonderful country of Bhutan . We are independent travelers and when we realized that it was necessary to book a tour, we were skeptical of how impersonal the experience might become.
We had nothing to be concerned about. We had our own guide and driver who both spoke English. They were college educated and very knowledgeable about their country. Thus we were a tour of two!
Being avid photographers we wanted to stop every 10 feet to take photographs of the magnificent scenery, Bhutan people, and splendid architecture. And we did!
Our intention is to return one day and further explore the wonders of Bhutan . I highly recommend Raven Tours . They were flexible in altering our schedule,
humorous, and great companions for our 8-day tour.

We wanted to do a short trek in Bhutan , not too difficult, and to learn about the culture of the country. Raven Tours advised us, put together a package itinerary, and provided an excellent guide, a safe driver and a cook who can make apple pie on a camp stove. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I was lucky, sitting on the left side in the plane where I had a perfect view of the scenery outside. At last I could see this country that I have been dreaming of visiting ever since I read about it many years ago.
 Flying through the valleys of the Himalayas with a big Airbus is not an every day experience! I had a strange feeling of being in a sort of “timemachine” or going through a “wormhole” as we have seen in the science fiction movies. Beautiful senery passes and you are on you way to a unique word!
From the moment I sat my feet on Bhutanese ground, I could feel the air being loaded with positive energy. Never in my life have I met such a warming, understanding and positive people. I never visited Bhutan before, but still it felt like I was coming home. It seems to me that the Bhutanese people have found the formula to develop the good and the positive side of the human being.
I therefore recommend Raven Tours and Treks to visit Bhutan with and I thank Raven’s crew for giving me the greatest time of my life. Thank you.

 "From the outset (the quick and comprehensive responses to all our questions while researching the trip) it was obvious that we couldn't have picked a better tour company than Raven Tours and Treks to visit the wonderful Kingdom of Bhutan with.
All the Raven people we met - from Deepak the MD to Ian the visiting marketing executive, and the Wangchucks (Guide and Driver!) couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. It made for a memorable experience and one I would love to repeat some day.
The only problem encountered on the trip was the lack of ATM's, so getting money became an issue towards the end of the trip - we had no need to fear however as the Raven team rallied round to find a solution to our problem - assistance beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend a trip to Bhutan and using Raven Tours and Treks to do so!"

 Our arrival in Bhutan was preceded by the most outrageous and spectacular flight in with the national carrier Druk Air. The adrenaline rush was intense as our airbus quite suddenly banked hard right to miraculously [or very skilfully] sneak through a narrow break in the mountains, wings seemingly scraping the vegetation on their way through. A superb and abrupt landing followed on the short airstrip which appeared at the eleventh hour. We laughed with relief and nervous excitement.
Our welcome outside the airport by our guide Chencho was extremely warm and made replete with the gift of a white silk scarf each.
Our first evening in Bhutan was a delight! Our gorgeous host Deepak(Managing Director)had organised a cocktail party, followed by dinner at a location where a Variety Show was to follow. This was performed by local Bhutanese and included fashion parades.
We feel so privileged to have been able to spend time in a country so visually beautiful, rich culturally and spiritually, environmentally friendly, unpolluted and as yet untainted by western society. We have never come across a more beautiful, warm and generous race of people who treated us with such honour and respect.
Our time in Bhutan was truly the experience of a lifetime and one that we will treasure for the rest of our days.

 I was very happy with the prompt reply from Deepak to all of my questions. Jimba(the guide) and Yoenten(the driver) were both awesome! I couldn’t have asked for a better guide or driver. They were always willing to help and go out of their way for me and they were both knowledgeable. It was so great for me to be able to spend 11 days with both of them. They helped me get to Phuentsholing and onto Siliguri (India) via bus. I love them both. What great people! The cooks and porters were wonderful on my trek. Very polite and understanding with all the rains.The itinerary was perfect and the best service ever!!

 "I traveled to Bhutan with Deepak as my guide and he was fantastic. There were many members in our tour party encompassing various ages and backgrounds, yet Deepak was able to appease them all.
He explained in detail the historical facts of various sites to those highly interested, took us inside an awe-inspiring Dzong not on the tour schedule, and still had the energy to take several younger members of the group out for a few very fun nights in Thimphu.
Deepak was extremely knowledgeable, a tireless guide that would go beyond the extra mile for his guests, and simply a very fun person to be around.
